Here you can choose the best option for msn on linux (http://tips-linux.net/en/linux-ubuntu/linux-software/linux-internet/msn-linux) .

MSNP (MSNProticol) change every time and the program like amsn emesen etc have lot of compatibility bug, ok it was working 2 or 3 years ago but not now

and sorry but

No one works on that because no one needs it.

what ???? YOU no need it, sorry but when i see in the last update

" 2547 word perfect 12 trial fails to install"

who use word on wine ??? there are lot of word like on linux !!
WordPerfect 12 does NOT exist for Linux, but does for MacOSX (which is a small segment of the users for Wine).
" 15106 Google Chrome installed but with interface and connection issues."

why work on chrome wine compatibility when you can use chrome natively on linux ???

and they are lot of more useless bug fixed so don't say "No one works on that because no one needs it. "
The Gecko engine is based on Chrome. Thus we DO have to get it to work on Wine.

As to the Windows Live problem, you STILL have other IM clients that work with it. If the list does not, contact the maintainers of those products.

Lastly, fixing Windows Live is a 'back burner' project. There are other ways to connect to it, and using Wine may actually be prohibited in some jurisdictions (read the NEW EULA that Microsoft is slapping on their products.) Microsoft has a ship load (500+) lawyers under contract to enforce them and other items like patents.
