I have a windows application (LabVIEW) that requires a gpib pci card and I'm trying to get the whole thing to work under linux with the help of wine (1.3.12). The gpib card driver comes in both windows and linux flavors (but the linux version seems kind of dodgy). As I understand it, using the windows driver under wine won't work because it's beyond wine's capabilities. True? Is it possible, if I could get the linux driver working, to have the windows app use the linux driver? In a previous thread on this very subject the indication seemed to be that this wouldn't work. Can someone confirm that this is not a workable scheme and why, in broad strokes, wouldn't it work? I mean wine works with graphics cards and NICs, right? Finally, if I can't run my windows driver and I can't use the linux driver, is there another application that I should be looking at? I'm trying virtualbox but it's not looking so good. TIA, eric
