Does it work if you compile it with gcc 4.5?

I just compiled 1.3.20 with gcc 4.6 with no errors - but I've never tried
to compile 1.2.3 with it.
I try with gcc 4.5 but same error occured.So i upgrade to 4.6.
I want to compile stable version ,why this error occured??
Why are you so interested in running with the 'stable' version? You might
run into fixed problems by using it. This is why the project recommends
using the latest development version.
James,

you can't blame someone from trying to compile the latest stable
version... People may have reasons to run it. YMMV
Now reporting bug against a very old version is another thing.

Correct.  Thank you for that.

However, if the OP is receiving the same error in 1.2.3 as in 1.3.20 this might point to something outside of Wine.

I'll have to revisit the log file from when the compile failed.

James McKenzie
