I have a portable version of MS Word that requires no installation. It freezes on startup when I try to run it in Wine. I have been trying for several hours to get this to work, and tried a bunch of different things I've found on the net, all of which either break my wine configuration, or fail to change the freeze situation. A slight square that looks like a startup window appears but just freezes. Then I have to ctrl+c the process from the terminal window. No, I don't want to use OpenOffice or LibreOffice. Help!
