Hmmm... I think I see what you mean. You mean the Nvidia way (http://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDriversNvidiaWay). I've never used that method due to the ease of upgrading via the Debian package manager, and everyone recommending against it.

But...

Your comment on 32bit drivers got me searching, and bingo. In addition to the above command, run this command in addition to the one mentioned above.

> aptitude install nvidia-glx-ia32


Apparently, there are 32bit userspace Nvidia drivers for 64bit (amd64) machines.

I loaded up nullDC, and success!
