Try installing real .NET with winetricks. http://wiki.winehq.org/winetricks

Because there's no need for either. The functions of both are best handled by native tools. 

If you really want to make the switch to Linux, learn to use native apps  whenever possible. As Martin pointed out, they exist for many of the things you are trying to do. As for hardware, get used to checking Linux compatibility before buying anything.
