You may want to try other enlightment based distros : http://distrowatch.com/search.php?desktop=Enlightenment Bodhi linux based on ubuntu seems to be quite up to date. MoonOS and Macpup may be wort a try too. Elive development seems halted for the moment, it's been 1 year since the last release.
