Yes and yes. However Wine kills all non-gui apps (services, drivers, etc) when last gui or console program exists. Here is what you can do: - Ask for Linux version of this program. If it's running as a service it should be easy to port to Linux. - Ask for a console version of this application. It will run under Wine by itself.
