[/quote]First, Wine cannot support Native Windows Drivers for any device.
This is not permitted with the way that drivers function.
Second, that version of Wine is VERY old. Is there a particular
reason you are using it and can you update to the current development
version of Wine?

It's the version that was conveniently available from my distro through their package manager, and I usually go with a package install on things I'm not too familiar with. I've only used Wine for two programs, a video game for my kid and a school typing program for him too. Both seem to perform nicely, so I was thinking it might help me get this printer running as well. I don't at all pretend to be an expert on how drivers work.

Is Wine useful to me in getting this printer to work, or should I be thinking in a different direction?

Thanks,

Eathray
