DeiKratos not exactly untried. picasa.google.com and other programs have used bundled versions of wine at different times. Independent to installed version. DeiKratos. Lot of case porting to qt or equal is better. Since program is smaller. Basically wine is not light. It will not just be making the application work. It will also be part stripping features out of wine the application does not need to reduce its secuirty foot print. So yes there will be a lot of extra work. Remember a qt program is a Windows Linux and OS X and more. Next issue to consider what will happen if next the program has to run on arm or equal. There are lot of disadvantages to not porting correctly. Its cost to pass. More complex the harder to pass.
