the 64bit OS should be no problem, as Wine itself is 32bit (although there's a 64bit version of wine in experimental state, I don't think he has installed it, as it's more difficult to find than the normal one) what version of WINE do you have? try the stable version (1.2.2 afaik) or if this doesn't work, use 1.3.8 or 1.3.7. with 1.3.11 (most recent unstable) the patch described in the appDB doesn't work anymore (as stated there)
