Just thought you guys might enjoy hearing what my boss and I have found today. For the past few years, we've developed a variety of in-house software that runs on Windows, mainly using Open Watcom C++, but as of last year we've been moving some things to Linux. Today we picked up a few of the Windows binaries we use around the place and, unmodified, ran them under Wine. One of them needed a slight adjustment as it had used a slightly hackish technique for detecting file existence, but other than that, they all ran exactly as before. My boss is _extremely_ happy with Ubuntu (you have no idea, till you try it, just how much easier Open Office is under Linux than under Windows), and thanks to Wine, we have an easy transition. Kudos, guys! Chris Angelico
