After putting in this report, I tried accessing the winecfg from my desktop GUI, and all seems OK. So I tried a call from the console and got this. err:alsa:ALSA_CheckSetVolume Could not find 'PCM Playback Volume' element fixme:mixer:ALSA_MixerInit No master control found on HDA ATI HDMI, disabling mixer fixme:mixer:ALSA_MixerInit No master control found on USB Device 0x46d:0x8ad, disabling mixer Which is totally normal. Seems I've hit some kind of initialization glitch, so I will try to carry on with my testing.
