Really I should have asked this off the start line.

Do you know about the Native solitaire programs.

http://pysolfc.sourceforge.net/  This is kinda over kill at 1000 plus versions of solitaire.  It contains 62 variation of spider solitaire.

2d games is something Linux has tones of.
