Somehow the installation is not recognized and so i can't apply the patch and i can't apply the crack and i can't play the game. > I would install it with Playonlinux but there is this problem with the cd key, the font is to big and it doesn't fit the box. I have taken care of it if i install it with wine but not if i install it with Playonlinux. Plus i can't find Sacred in the games Playonlinux has so i can't try that either. 1) RTFM Wine FAQ : 7.11. Should I run Wine as root? (http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#head-96bebfa287b4288974de0df23351f278b0d41014) 2) Applications need to be installed on the 'C:\' drive in Wine as far as I am aware... Certainly they can't be installed outside of your /home folder as your user wouldn't (probably/shouldn't) have write access permissions... FYI Take a look at the following folder (default prefix folder in which Wine stores all the Windows filesystem) in your file manager application: Code: ~/.wine You will see the Windows dos drive letters are mapped using symbolic links in the dosdevices folder.
