if you want to install BG2 and get help with normal Wine... this is the right place... anything else, and your in the wrong place... especially for Cider which is NOT Wine... its based off of a fork off of Wine from many years ago, but its still not Wine... its not even available for anyone to use unless you hack some other game that was using it. There was never an official Cider version of BG2, its just a hacked version. That said... BG2 does run fine under Wine, but I've never tried multiplayer.
