I'm having a similar problem, but that's an improvement...I used to not see the splash screen at all and after following all of the instructions I could find online I finally see the launcher screen and get the following error... I've tried all of the winetricks and even attempted to patch an install from source...I'm not sure which if either of those finally allowed me to see the splash screen, but any help would be appreciated for a Linux noob such as myself. By the way I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 x86_64 and Wine 1.3.5 vid card is an Nvidia GTX 460 with 260.19.06 drivers if that matters.[/code]
