http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24758 I got the download screen tonight and no crash. Try with a clean ~/.wine. Near as I can tell, the game works fine other than the alt+tab bug and the non-wine bug with not being able to select a proper graphics mode when using opengl.
