getting further the shortcut to the lotrolauncher.sh didn't work from the desktop, but pasting to a terminal session worked. this displayed an error dxdllreg.exe encountered serious problems, but it's currently downloading the patch at the moment. i've renamed the file as per another thread, and once download is complete will install pylotro to run the application and see what happens
