I regret to say that, having checked I now have Wine V1.20 installed, I have run through the installation procedures as before with identical results. I used to have an earlier version of Ubuntu (8.14, I think) and had no problem of this type - I could install Windows applications from disk but now it is a big problem. I hope I don't have to go back to the old OS - I prefer 10.04 but I have several Windows applications I need to run. Is it possible to copy files into the dummy C:\ drive and try to run them from there? Regards, Mike
