try adding the line

SET gxApi "opengl"

in you config.wtf file. This will cause WoW to use Opengl instead of direct3D. It should increase (a lot) your performance.
Otherwise, if your already using opengl then we are stuck in the same problem.

Getting just about four fps too, with GF FX 5200 and nvidia driver 173.14.25 (newest for my old card).
Also, using ubuntu 10.04 (lucid) and wine 1.2 (latest from ppa), a combination rated as "platinum" in Wine HQ. So, don't know why i'm getting so low fps...
