Not likely. That bug deals with a problem at login which I'm past before encountering the glow problem. There aren't any other rendering issues beyond a minor one with the patcher. And the patcher is a separate program. I will open a bug report soon.
Just wanted to point out that bug report in case it applied. Please
advise of the bug report number when you get it.
