More testing has convinced me that the output ISO file is the correct size and that something must have been causing the files output on my Win7 machine to be unexpectedly bigger. Maybe the settings were different. Also, I now believe the errors are coming from missing DirectX 9 dlls. I was able to install all the applications on a Win2k vmware client and it also needed the DirectX 9 installed.
