The source code is the official Wine releases.... Packages are
maintained by volunteer packagers (Scott Richie for Ubuntu (both the
PPA and wine.budgetdedicated)) that might add potentially unsupported
patches or more likely, better integration like menu entries, etc...

The launchpad link is what the ppa: thing would add on new Ubuntu's...
(9.04 doesn't support the easy method to add the PPA...)

You should be able to add the ppa using the instructions on the
launchpad site (which might be handy for copying to the downlaod/deb
page...)

The wine.budgetdedicated repository doesn't get updated anymore...
