after a very long time I can say and prove that solidworks 2007 works without any problems in linux. the big problem was to save a file and open a file. I use PlayOnLinux to install the software and copy the hole system 32 from my XP into system32 in wine and solidworks prefix. have a look in the two photos: http://www.dix.co.il/www.dix.co.il/005/1276867418-amir-is-the-best-1.png http://www.dix.co.il/www.dix.co.il/005/1276867604-amir-is--the--best2.png this make me think: maybe I can help to solve this file operation bug. I think it is just a dll configuration issue. At this point I must say thanks to Admin-Amir from the Ultimate-Edition-Israel, how gave me the Idea how to solve this issue. Assaf
