Steam crashes immediately.

I've followed all the instructions on the appDB page, yet the Steam (new 2010 UI version) crashes after being shown for less than a second. here is the output of WINEDEBUG=warn+all:

I'm running wine 1.1.44 compiled from source on ubuntu 10.04
