Did you already file/improve bug reports for the problems that keep you from running the software you need in Wine? Because that's usually a good step forward, which sometimes results in the problem being solved within a week (only in case it's really simple of course).

I doubt it will be fixed in a week or a year. This one is old like me ;) I dont want to learn a new accounting app when I already learned the best one IMHO.

With MYOB, I really do not need to spend money on upgrades, if I want, I can get a later copy pretty cheap on Ebay. If I was using open source, I would compensate the developer any ways.

I am located in the USA, NY. I want payroll, and inventory, the rest is usually included in all accounting. I have looked at the wiki page, and most of them are double entry, and I don't want to be bothered with that.

Mr. Donnelly:

If you are running a small business and are audited by NYS Department of Taxation, they may REQUIRE you to use double ledger bookkeeping. At least they did years ago and my father keeps a set of books that are of that type (he has been audited and it was a real mess.)

Also, I don't think that MYOB is of a high enough quality to keep around.
