Thinking  ffmpeg supports MTV for conversion.  There are a lot of front ends to that including video dj software like lives that is a native program.  So lacking the over head of using wine.

Sorry to say susanjq the program you have found is a very poor relation to some of the native tools.

I love the term professional.  No professional video editing or producing person worth their salt would be using that program.

Yet even worse MTV Converter is not listed in the appdb let alone tested.  

So I recommend anyone reading susanjq post don't even both attempting to use the program until at least susanjq gets around to setting appdb entry and posting exactly what version of wine the program works with.

And when susanjq has done the appdb entry with information post the link to it into the forum. 

Word of warning to all future advertisers.   This is not a advertising channel bring you product in here we will most likely recommend other other programs unless items like appdb entries are done. 

Don't even bother clicking on susanjq link its not worth you time since there is no insurance that the program even works with wine.
