It is the latest, and yes Word, Excel, PPT, etc are the mapped apps to open the documents... Not sure about the "Are the drives mapped in winecfg? " There are a number of drives, many on other machines, and it does happen within the PC's folders/drives too, even desktop, but not always. Sometmes I get round it by coping to the Desktop, unless that fails to work
