It runs fine on a 3 year old Mac? With the lesser CPU, I'm surprised, but that's great! That's the same tutorial I used. Did you run the extra command that it says to run if you are a Leopard user? I installed wine on Tiger, so I don't know how much it affects the install. Also, post Terminal error output.
