If it's supported by CUPS/GutenPrint, then you're good. It helps that CUPS is now developed by Apple, so any printer manufacturer who wants their device to work on a Mac better support CUPS. Lexmark are the name that spring to mind who resolutely refuse to support Linux in any way. - d.
