Depends on the application in wine. Some are just sourced clones. Its not like MS is the only one to make a notepad application. Some of the applications are not 100 percent complete either. Like iexplore in wine it don't even have toolbar. Basically its only providing what applications have required. So equivalents is not exactly the right word. Enough so applications work.
