r overlapping font in Xplore edit window

I wanted to provide an image as an attachment, but it was scrubbed. Here 
is the link provided at the bottom of the message, showing the problem. 
On the left is an editor window. If you look closely,you will see that 
the words overlap and are not legible, making the editor quite useless. 
If you have any suggestions for fixing it, I would appreciate your help.
