I am running the Xplore statistics package under Wine running under
Linux. My OS is Fedora Core 11 and I am using the Gnome window manager.
The Xplore program has an editing window in which one can write and edit
the script-like programs to perform analyses, produce graphs etc. The
editing window is not usable because the text in the window overlaps,
i.e., the characters and words partially overlap so the text is
obscured. This makes editing uncertain at best, so it isn't possible to
use the editor, which is inconvenient. I will attach a screenshot that
shows the editor on the left, and an output window on the right.
The text/characters in other windows, like the output window, within the
Xplore facility are just fine; only the editor is affected. I have tried
all the Gnome font controls with no effect. I don't know whether the
problem is one that might be solved within Wine, but I would appreciate
any suggestions anyone might have.
Thanks,
Roger
