Thanks so much for your very quick replies, it is much appreciated.

Thanks Vitamin for confirming what I thought. Its nice to have it affirmed and that I am not going mad or missing something.

Perhaps one day they will fix it??!!

I am still in the early stages of trying out ubuntu and seeing if I want to change from windows.

On many points I love it, but on points such as these I find it very frustrating.

I guess I also find it frustrating on having to spend so much time on setting things up, pouring over forums. All of which I cannot remember doing for windows. Although I have been using windows for so many years perhaps I cant remember how long it took to learn it and get it setup in the first place??

I will persevere... as I love the idea of linux and the community behind it, not to mention the free apps and people helping each other without money being behind it all. So many things about Microsoft and its commercialisation and cost annoy me (I could say a lot stronger words!!)

Anyway off my soapbox!!

Thanks again

Regards

Michael
