At the point where it says: "If you haven't installed Wine yet, go to Applications->Add/Remove and search for Wine or just click this link." The link is to apt://wine but this SHOULD be a link to apt://wine1.2 It is amazing how much time I have spent all because of a missing 1.2!!! Man in front of PC (Who prefers Ada to C)
