Darkest of Days crashes on new game

So I've been trying to part Darkest of Days, because I have a Mac and just want to play it. I got the disk from a friend and installed. I ran it in Wine, and had a few dll errors. I placed those in system32 and it was fine. I ran it again and it got to the main menu. I went into the settings and set everything to the lowest it could go, then clicked new game. It loaded for a bit. Then it loaded for 3 hours. I looked at the logs and realized it was debugging and had crashed. Output from the log is this:
