If you are still looking for an interface with the J-Station on Linux, you can check my project on SourceForge : http://sourceforge.net/projects/gstation-edit/ It is in early development, but it's usable and it will be easy to add missing functionalities. Be sure to read the README file as something must be generated prior to launching the Python interface.
