After closely inspecting wine log and wine's directx source code I came up with the following: the game checks for DXT3 texture compression availability, wine checks for EXT_texture_compression_st3c, which is missing and thus the game reports no usable videocards. Is there a workaround for this, such as transparently recoding textures on the fly? The card is Intel GMA X3100, latest mesa and intel drivers, opengl 2.1.
