Timidity++ was already installed, configured in Wine and running. The problem was in capella itself: In [Optionen][Sound][Vorspiel] ([Options][Sound][Audition]?) the option "capella-tune verwenden" ("use capella-tune"?) had to be disabled. Both Capella Professional and the Capella Reader are now running out-of-the-box - and blazingly fast!
