I'm not sure if this is normal behavior I just haven't seen before or if
it's something on my system I need to fix, so I'm asking:
Twice now I have had a crash using a game through wine. Both times
there's a pop up with a MS C++ error box (pure virtual method call) so I
think the crash itself is the game's fault not wine's.
But both times I also got a winedbg error box off to the side saying:
"Program Error The program winedbg.exe has encountered a serious
problem and needs to close." There is a button at the bottom of the box
that says 'close' and when I click on it the box blinks but does not go
away.
If I open my system monitor it shows more then 40 entries for winedbg,
each with it's own (sequential) ID number. If I just click the close
button on the error dialog box none of the entries in the processes list
goes away. I have to go down the list and end each one individually
until I find one that is somehow magic and makes the rest of them go
away. :)
So is this behavior normal and just the first program I've run into it
with, or have I broken something in my wine install I need to fix?
