I did some searching for you in Bugzilla, and found there are other programs that are suffering from the same problem as yours. Here's an example: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2700 It seems like it's not a regression since it has been filed as a bug for over 4 years now. So I guess you'll have to wait for it to be fixed.
