Are you new to Linux as well as Wine? No offense, but you sound like you are
because you can't answer some fairly basic questions. The current state of
Wine should allow you to install Wrath with no problems. You're having to do
things I've never heard of other Ubuntu users doing.(on this list).

There is a lot of info on the AppDB for WOW. Also the Wine Wiki is a very
good source for even more. Since you're running Ubuntu, there is a lot of
Ubuntu specific info on their forums. I run Debian, so my experience is
slightly different than yours. I can't help with the "Ubunto way of doing
things".

I hope I've said something that can point you in a useful direction.
