I have followed all the examples of installing gca I have been able to find. I have found the main page for installing the program here: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=16036 I am running: Ubuntu 9.04 GCA 4.0.371 wine 1.1.28 and the error: modForms:BuildSmartBar: Error 30001: Unable to open the picture file "%1" when gca is loading the current loading file states (splash screen on startup): Reading 2 Damage Conversions Here is what i did: -ran winecfg -set default to win XP (same results when trying vista) -installed gca via the installer -ran the update file to update to 4.0.371 -ran the second data files updater -replaced the oleaut32.dll and riched20.dll files (smae results when i did not replace them) with versions from a win xp install i no longer use (dual boot) from command line i cd'd into the gurps directory and ran: wine gca4.exe &> /tmp/log.txt 2>&1 and i still recieved the error as stated above. the result from my log file is below. Am I missing something? I have also tried using dll files from sources on the internet and I have the same result. I tried overriding the dll files from winecfg and no difference. Any ideas?
