I don't use the app myself, but the one test report in the AppDB for it  mentions report windows flashing on the screen, then minimizing (not closing). http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=1896

Yes, you should try the latest development release. 1.0.1 is very old.
