No.

You need to create the Key Direct3D.  Under that key you add a string Value with the name of OffScreenRenderingMode with the value of Backbuffer.  You do not have to and should not create sub-keys.  At least that is what I did.  Maybe I'm wrong and vitamin will correct me.
