Hi, I am new to Linux (Fedora 11) and Wine (1.1.18) and am trying to eliminate going back to windows to run certain applications. Please forgive any transgressions in this post as I assure you they are unintentional. By the way, Wine (1.1.23) causes Quicken to crash on start up. Wine (1.1.18) works just fine. I have spent a couple of weeks trying to figure out what is going on. There are plenty of Quicken posts, but nothing before V7. This is V2 which is 16 bit. I have succeeded in installing Quicken in Wine and it mostly works. The parts that are not working are fonts and printing. I installed fonts by using winetricks and selecting all fonts. First, fonts - all the fonts show up in the Quicken's printer setup, however, the sample display only shows part of the letters (like the font is too big). This occurs even if I select the smallest size, size 6. This occurs on all fonts across the board. By the way, display fonts are fine. It is only print fonts that have this problem. Next, printing If I try to print from Quicken, an error dialog box appears with the following message: "The data for this report will not fit on the page. Either the fonts selected are too large or the scrolling factor for the device is too large." The printer then ejects the correct number of pages for the report. By the way, I have tried printing from Notepad in Wine and it works just fine. Finally, the following errors show up in the command line window: fixme:psdrv:PSDRV_ExtEscape GETSETPRINTORIENT not implemented (data (nil))! Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Don
