I used to have that error when I did an incorrect install of something. I can't quite remember, but try this (at your own risk, your wine Apps may behave incorrectly after it!): 1. Delete everything in Wine's temporary folder (~/.wine/drive_c/windows/temp IIRC) if that doesn't work, try to create a new WINEPREFIX One thing is for sure, I _had_ that error once with an older wine version and managed to fix it by doing one of these.
