I have successfully installed Sonos 2.8 using Ubuntu 9.04 and Wine 1.1.22 on my wireless Dell Inspiron laptop and an old dual boot Dell Dimension desktop. The Sonos Desktop Controller software was installed on the dual boot Unbuntu side as well as the Windows XP Pro side. Software works fine on both machines. However when I try to install Sonos 2.8 on my primary wired Dell XPS desktop, the installation fails. I have tried everything I can think of even completely removing Wine 1.1.22 and reinstalling it.

The screen the install quits on after I select 'Next' is titled Sonos Setup Wizard and is asking to connect to a zonebridge or zoneplayer. I have also run it with the following command:
WINEDEBUG=+relay,+seh,+tid WINEPREFIX="/home/rob/.wine" wine "C:\Program Files\Sonos\sonos.exe" &> /tmp/output2.txt
output2.txt is an 84,000 line file that I do not know what to do with or look for.

Can anyone suggest what I might try to get sonos properly installed on my desktop? I must be missing some software or have something installed that is interfering. I have tried installing with Compiz fusion on and off. Using ALSA for sound.
