In case you didn't understand that: Go to the game's properties in steam, there you can add startup arguments somewhere, there insert/add -dxlevel 81 this will make CS:S using fall back to directx 8.1 functions (which are implemented in wine, you don't have to install directx) instead of using directx 9.
